Employment and Training offers many services based on funding from various sources. Each career specialist in the Department is aware of resources available in the area for child care, housing, emergency assistance, counseling, legal aid, and other items that will aid in the enhancement of one's career.

Eligible Training Provider List


Programs are available for income or household eligible career-minded individuals aged 14 and better. You can apply at any time by filling out an Employment and Training Application and returning it to District VI HRDC, 300 First Ave. North, Suite 203, Lewistown, MT 59457 or 247 Main Street, Roundup MT 59072

You will need to provide the following documents in addition to your application:

  • 6 previous months of income for the household
  • Birth certificate for each member of your family
  • Social security card
  • Driver's license or picture ID or school picture
  • Copy of TANF check, Medicaid card, food stamp letter and SSI Check, if applicable
  • Documentation of physical or mental handicap, if applicable
  • Documentation of arrest or conviction of a felony, if applicable

Specialized courses are offered to aid in areas you would like to progress in. For specific days and times, please contact the instructor of that course.

·         Job Club - Terry Murphy, Instructor. Learn the entire life spectrum on obtaining and keeping a job. Covers Budgets, Child Care options, Cold Calling, Q-Letters, Master Applications, and Career Development.

  • The Plan -  Kris Frank, Instructor.  Taking a brainstorm into reality for your small business start-up planning and implementation.

Courses are tailored for large groups, one on one, and business settings.
